There are lots of major changes in Counter-Strike 2. The elimination of the tick rate for shooting, moving, or throwing. Sub-tick updates will be introduced to allow servers to know the exact moment motion starts, a shot is fired or a grenade is thrown. This means that moving and shooting will be more sensitive and responsive than ever before. Finally, grenades will always land exactly where you want them to.
Counter-Strike 2 will also feature better audio, lighting, and materials such as texture and 3D object details. Players can take all their CS:GO inventory with them to Counter-Strike 2, and each item collected over the years will benefit from Source 2 lighting and hardware. Even stock weapons have been upgraded with high-resolution models, and some weapon finishes will take advantage of these new models.
