Fortnite OG Breaks Record with over 44 Million Players
Fortnite, the popular battle royale game developed by Epic Games, sets a new record on November 4th with its new update “OG Batte Royale”.

Epic’s popular survival game, Fortnite breaks a new record with its new update, Chapter 4 Season OG, and revisits the original map introduced in 2018. The return of the original map brings nostalgia to many players as each season introduces new changes and features, including players’ favorite places and weapons.
In a single day, 44.7 millions of players joined the game, and the developer claims that the release day of the update was the biggest in the game’s history. With 6.1 million players and 102 millon hours of play, Fortnite broke the record of mulitplayer games of all time on November 4th.
“Throughout Fortnite OG, each major update will bring a different phase of Battle Royale’s past, starting with Chapter 1 Season,” states Epic Games. The announcement can be found here.
The new update will not only bring back the original island, but also the weapons, vehicles and traps, starting with those from the original Season 5. However, some of the items will not be featured in Tournaments.

- Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun, and Hunting Rifle from Season 5
- Double Barrel Shotgun, Clinger, and Six Shooter from Season 6
- Flint-Knock Pistol, Minigun, and Quad Launcher from Season 7 and 8
- Heavy Sniper Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike, and Junk Rift from Season 9 and X

OG Pass and OG Item Shop
With over 50 new in-game items, players can unlock all the cosmetic rewards in the OG Pass in four weeks. The OG Pass is available for purchase for 950 V-Bucks, and players can earn up to 1000 V-Bucks.
The OG Pass is also included as part of the Fortnite Crew subscription. The selections of outfits and accessories will be available for a limited time.
