Fallout TV Show

Amazon has released the first official teaser trailer based on the popular video game series Fallout. The show has been in production for over 3 years. Fallout is being developed by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with the developer of Fallout games Bethesda Softworks. The Fallout TV Show writing staff includes Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel, Tomb Raider) and Graham Wagner (Portlandia).

The story set 200 years after the nuclear war, is about a group of people who are forced to return to the dangerous surface. Ella Purnell (Army of the Dead, Yellowjackets) plays the character named Lucy, a vault dweller who leaves her long-time safe house. Also, Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, Justified, Predators) plays The Ghoul, a bounty hunter with a secret past who lives in the wasteland. The cast also includes Kyle MacLachlan, Johnny Pemberton, Leslie Uggams, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Moisés Arias and Aaron Moten.

The teaser reveals the perspective of the post-apocalyptic wasteland full of scary creatures in Los Angeles and it shows Lucy, a vault dweller born and raised in Vault 33, stepping into the wasteland for the first time. First look, makes a promising start that the series will stay faithful to its source material. The show has also been confirmed as official Fallout canon and features an origin story of the Vault Boy who mascot of the franchise.

All we can say, after the success of The Last of Us on HBO, it seems like we will see many more video game-based TV series. Fingers crossed.

The show will feature 8 episodes. Fallout is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2024 on Prime Video.
