Bungie, will lay off 220 employees representing 17% of its workforce, transfer 155 employees representing 12% of its workforce to Sony Interactive Entertainment and establish a new studio under PlayStation Studios to launch one of it’s incubator projects, an action game set in a brand new sci-fi universe.

Bungie CEO Pete Parsons said in a statement that they had to take such a decision, saying that they were very ambitious, they exceeded their financial safety margins and started to suffer from budget shortages.
