We believe that we should be transparent with our readers, and we pride ourselves on providing honest, fair and comprehensive opinions about all the games we present.
You can find our full review policy and code of ethics below.
Review Policy
In order for our reviews to reach the reader, we receive review keys from developers, publishers, or affiliated PR firms before or after the official release date of games.
As Oyun Günlüğü, we accept and follow all kinds of embargo instructions set for review keys received before the official release date.
Order and bribe have not been accepted in the evaluations and will never be accepted.
Although reviews are forwarded to the providing company after publication, reviews and their scores are never discussed with any member of the development, publishing or PR team before publication.
We do not always `receive promotional` keys for our reviews. Editors of Oyun Günlüğü occasionally purchase games and hardware for review purposes.
Reviews are not always the same length. Comprehensive analysis and any opinion are not published until it is supported.
Reviews remain at the draft stage until they are approved by the management team. Scoring system has also two stages. Games are rated in a 1 to 10 scale and management team approves the ultimate score. If any member of the management team thinks that the review does not reflect the score, he/she may come up with a new score recommendation. Team negotiates on the score until they reach an agreement. Review scores cannot be changed without the consent of the reviewing editor.
When it comes to reviewing games in early access, Oyun Günlüğü takes development processes into consideration and does not score the game due to the lack of integrity that early access games may include.
The review editor does not include fake reviews (copy and artificial intelligence). If you come across this in the reviews, please contact us.
In addition to digital and box game reviews, Oyun Günlüğü also reviews game hardware and accessories from time to time. These reviews will not be scored, but instead a recommendation will be given on whether the product is worth buying.
