Sony has decided to delay half of their live service titles not to disappoint gamers. In the latest meeting which was held yesterday, Sony president Hiroki Totoki has announced their plans for multiplayer and live service games.

Totoki has said that Sony tries to keep quality of their games at a certain level. Therefore, to meet the quaility standards of Sony, 6 titles are going to be considered in a relatively longer term. With Totoki’s own words, ”In the mid-to-long term, we want to this kind of service, and that’s the unchanged policy of the company.” Besides, he adds, ”It’s not that we stick to certain titles, but for the gamers quality should be the most important.”

What are the Playstation live service games?

Live service games are the games being supported in long terms with major updates and new features. For example, Warframe, Apex Legends, Call of Duty Warzone, Destiny are the most popular live service games.

We know what are 6 of these 12 Playstation live service games that are in the development period. These games are:

  • Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us multiplayer game
  • Fairgame$, an online heist game by Haven Studios
  • Bungie is working on a PvP shooter
  • Concord, a sci-fi PvP
  • Multiplayer game set in Horizon universe
  • New IP by Playstation London Studio

To clarify, Sony is working on 12 Playstation live service games in total. As you can see on the list we do know some information about 6 games. However, other 6 stands obscure.
